For a reason unexplained, a Levite or priest living in the most northern parts of Israel, near Mt. Hermon is unable to come to the Temple in Jerusalem for a festival. He so wants to be in the presence of God and praise Him. He has enemies who mock him, perhaps for his inability to make the journey, and despite it all, he looks to his salvation and his God.
